It was more just the downtime of installing, checking, configuring. I had to deliver a test shot for a DCP this morning. Just got back from hand delivering it to the theater where I’m presenting.

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.

I completely understand the desire not to switch versions in the middle of a job; I've been bitten by that one as well. Fortunately, CS6 has a Save As CS5.5 function that provides an escape hatch if things go wrong.

Great news but it arrgghhhh!!!!. I was up to the wee hours masking the highest resolution photograph of the international space station – 40+ masks in total – in CS5.5. I did not want to change versions under deadline. But fear not, I have much more masking to do. But I must have delete vertex points a couple of hundred times.
