I installed that - BIG MISTAKE. It totally botched my boot disk. Made copies of all my apps and added a .app extension. I called their tech support, and the guy said, "Hmm. This has never happened before" after asking for full access to my computer over the web. Luckily, I had cloned just before installing it, and was able to wipe my drive and revert. I may be way off base here, but the whole ordeal smelled fishy, and I suspect Mac Keeper is spy-ware. I demanded they refund my $39, which they did, and that is even more suspicious. Software companies rarely, if ever, give refunds.
Based on this experience, I'd suspect that this could be the cause of your problem. Plus, when things are going OK, and then suddenly they're not, the last thing you installed is the first thing you should suspect.
