I know the article is old, but it SHOULD still relate.

You should be able to setup a gmail account specifically for the= list, and then have it forward as pop3 to your email program of choice, thu= s removing your ISP from the issue.

As long a= s Gmail knows its not spam, it'll forward it as POP3 to your email client of= choice.
