I have auto-traced an animated alpha channel and it has given me all the separate masks. I want to combine all these masks (animating over 30secs) into one mask.

I have tried copy/pasting into a shape layer and merging paths but I cant work out how to copy a combined shape path back to a single animating mask.

I obviously can't afford the time it will take to do this manually in illustrator on every frame, Anyone have any ideas?
