Sorry. FWIW, the Stroke effect allows you to stroke multiple masks either = sequentially or in parallel. Or if you past into a shape layer, the Trim = Paths effect (which can be used to animate on a stroke) either strokes = all in parallel, or if you Merge Paths beforehand, will stroke = sequentially. Either approach will also allow you to re-order the paths = if you want one segment to animate before another (a capability you'd = lose if they were all one compound path). Or as Warren suggests, place in a precomp, and downstream apply an = effect that works off of the alpha rather than a mask path (like Vegas). - Chris On May 29, 2012, at 3:02 AM, Darren Marshall wrote: > to add a bit more info, the auto-trace was done on a precomp of a = clock animation with a transparent bg. > The auto-trace produced 30 odd separate masks each with a keyframe = over 30secs but I was looking for a way to combine all these masks into = 1 animating path for use with a stroke or something like plexus >=20 > On 29 May 2012 00:20, scott.aelist wrote: > what do you mean 'combine all these masks into one mask'?=20 >=20 >=20 >=20 > --=20 > -- > Darren Marshall > DazPix > Design / Motion Graphics / Creative Direction / VFX / Production = Services >=20 >=20 > hello@dazpix.co.uk > http://dazpix.co.uk >=20 > DAZPIX ON TWITTER > DAZPIX FACEBOOK PAGE > DAZPIX GOOGLE+ PAGE > DAZPIX BLOG >=20 > Put this http://dazpix.co.uk/cat/blog/feed/ > in your RSS reader to stay posted and ensure you hear about all the = freebies, news and articles >=20 --Apple-Mail=_233AB95B-BC0A-4741-96F5-70F25C7B338F Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
to add a bit more info, the auto-trace was done on a = precomp of a clock animation with a transparent bg.
The auto-trace = produced 30 odd separate masks each with a keyframe over 30secs but I = was looking for a way to combine all these masks into 1 animating path = for use with a stroke or something like plexus
