OS? apps? I know there are tons of variables that are involved here, but what are people doing? My MacBook Pro just has one SSD for everything (cache, OS, apps, projects, etc), but it's not my main work machine and only has one hard drive bay. Some people replace their optical drive with an additional hard drive, in which case you could have a separate SSD for cache space and/or whatever. If I used the Macbook more for work, I'd probably do that. I can't remember the last time I actually used the optical drive on this thing. :) See here: http://www.mcetech.com/optibay/ - Nathan On Mon, Jun 4, 2012 at 2:34 PM, Chris Bator wrote: > I'm wondering if I add a SSD to my MacBook Pro, should I use it just for > the cache? Speaking of whi= ch, I need faster hard drives.
