In CS6, they sort of update, as long as you make short little stops while you're adjusting.  But, you can now make adjustments while the video is playing, too.  That's nice.  And the Pr scopes have not failed me either in sending of to DG.

Agree with you on Looks having a limitation of a single frame.  I'd like to be able to shuttle within the clip at least.

I'd also like to see Looks take advantage of CUDA and real-time in Pr, like the native plugs.  Not sure who the impediment to this is… whether there's no plug-in SDK for Pr or that no third party has figured it out.  Likely the former.  In that case, I'm filing a feature request.  Please join me.  Strength in numbers.

No, but they're brutal to use. Maybe I'm doing something wrong since I'm just transitioning from FCP and don't know it as well, but they don't update for me when I'm doing any adjustments ( only after I make them ), and when they do, they are slow to refresh. Have you seen the new scopes in FCPX? They are really nice.

On a side note, if any Red Giant guys or girls are listening, it would be excellent if Looks had playback capabilities. I think that's a great tool, but still it would be nice if you could play the clips to get a better feel for the look rather than seeing just one frame. Plus, it would be nice to tear off the scopes to another display and scale them up.

All said, I'm still in the same quandary with my grading tools – useless with Kona3. AJA told me to hit Adobe with a feature request.

Thanks.

Jim

But grading in PPro or AE is not appealing to me ( lack of any real software scopes active during playback, don't have any hardware scopes

Did they take the software scopes out of Premier Pro CS6?
