Just to offer a balance to some recent opinions expressed here, I think=0At=
hat characterizing CS6's ray-tracer as "messing up" and "unusable" is=0Aina=
ccurate and unfair. I delivered an excellent broadcast commercial=0Aincorpo=
rating gorgeous ray-traced 3D graphics THE DAY AFTER I downloaded=0Amy CS6 =
upgrade.=0A=0AAdobe personnel on this list have acknowledged that the initi=
al release=0Aof the CS6 ray-tracing engine is the first step=0Aand there is=
 more to do. Whatever frustrations you have with this=0Aiteration, It would=
 be productive to submit feature requests, as Todd=0AKopriva has urged time=
 and again, addressing whatever issues you have=0Awith the function of thei=
r products. I intend to, even as I continue to=0Ause the new features in a =
professional environment on a daily basis.=0A=0ASo for me so far, the ray-t=
racer has been useful and has performed=0Areasonably on a MacPro 3,1 with Q=
4000 GPU. It will not by any means=0Areplace C4D, rather it is another tool=
 that works very well in the=0Aappropriate situation. Quite usable. That pl=
us the new caching scheme=0A- not to mention improvements across the rest o=
f the suite in PS, PP,=0Aetc - made the investment in upgrading to CS6 feel=
