Roland has an entirely legitimate criticism of how _some_ Adobe personnel have expressed their opinion regarding certain hardware options (e.g., GTX vs Quadro). I'll be bringing this feedback back to those folks in sales who have been most loudly expressing those opinions.
But, anyone who has listened to members of the After Effects or Premiere Pro development and product management teams has not heard that same skew toward certain hardware. In fact, anyone at AENY or AEPDX last week heard different advice altogether. There are very affordable options that give good performance.
That said, it's not really our role to provide comparisons between specific pieces of hardware. That's more appropriately the role of independent parties (such as the tests that Danny has been doing). That's why in this FAQ entry about what hardware to buy, I point to resources created by independent parties, like Harm Millaard and Bill Gehrke: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3804380
Your trust is important to us. If you can point to any specific examples of where you feel that you've been deceived or misled, please do so. You all have my email address.
