That's a substantial downgrade from current shipping tech and missing internal and external SATA 6gb and Thunderbolt not mention old CPU tech. They should have dropped the price 25-40% if that's what they are calling an upgrade. Clearly, they wanted to use all the same parts and not even upgrade the motherboard firmware. That's a really, really lame "upgrade". > This MacPro could also just be a stopgap system. They might (or might not) roll out something better when Mountain Lion is released. They've done that in the past. Apple has almost never done that - they go big or not at all. This looks a lot like how they handled the demise of things like Shake, Logic on Windows, FCP etc. Spring/Summer is typically pro release window - everything from NAB to Adobe to many other vendors avoid holiday season releases. I really expected at least more update to the Mac Pro given the engineering ease of doing it stephen van vuuren 336.202.4777 http://www.sv2dcp.com/ http://www.sv2studios.com/ http://www.outsideinthemovie.com/ A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later. -Stanley Kubrick >
