| My optimistic side thinks the fact that they didn't add Thunderbolt or USB3 gives the stopgap theory more credence. My pessimistic side already bought a used 8core MacPro 4,1 last month. If Apple had added those ports and only given a slight proc bump, everyone would be crying that the MacPro is dead. If they released nothing, everyone would be crying the MacPro is dead.
