ya really if some one has a way of getting win 7 networking to actually work , ie to see and connect to ANY SMB share, not just win 7 ones, I'm all ears. Win7 is a nightmare for networking. its not even XP with a fancy paint job. it seems to have really jacked up permissions / user security settings . I have a clean install of win7 on a box and it won't even let me log into the nas even after I direct enter the IP as in \\x.y.z.a because it won't see anything. I have never ever had this many problems with PC boxes. at least XP would see the network...
