That is very bizarre. That will push 3 years without an update - how does that jib with "our pro customers are very important to us"? Given the minimal engineering required to put Sandy Bridge Xeon's in the current line, that make no sense. Either Apple is completely mismanaging their resources, completely underestimating the market's patience or the decided to kill the Mac Pro, then have undecided that and now have to start from scratch or some other backroom confusion. That leaves them at least 6 to 9 months selling a system that is a very questionable purchase.
