The miniscule upgrade argues for either a "swing for the fences" revision being forthcoming, or complete abandonment. Take your pick. I suspect it turns on a forthcoming Thunderbolt chipset that provides much more PCI throughput, but the silicon is way behind schedule. And a much smaller case than the current tower. That's my guess.
