Not to mention RAM requirements. And Rob, that build is seriously starved for RAM - 16 GB is not nearly enough for CS6 with an 8 core xeon. you'd be better off going with an overclocked i7 sandy bridge six core and 32 GB RAM for much less. On the Mac if you have the developer tools installed, you can install= the Processor control panel found in (/Developer/Extras/PreferencePanes) a= nd toggle hyperthreading on and off. =A0In my AE tests (mostly involving Op= enEXR), keeping hyperthreading on always gave better performance.
