just found a good tutorial on it, using OpenDCP and a NLE (i.e. AE):

http://www.mattcameronfilm.co.uk/2012/04/digital-cinema-package-tutorial.html#more

I will use the scope settings of: 2048x858px, because it's a scope movie.

And will probably not scale up, keeping a bit of black left and right, just to be sure.

and I will keep the frame rate at 25, just because it is shot in 25 and I don't want sync problems with dialog.

will keep the DCP open, without a  KDM or anything.

and will have to format a drive to Linux standards, shouldn't be a problem.

I have both Mac and PC available.

will keep you posted ;)

Met vriendelijke groet/kind regards,

hi All.

I'm working on a 1080p ProRes4444 project and we are planning on creating a DCP from it with the OpenDCP software (http://code.google.com/p/opendcp/)

I've created a 2K comp, 2048x1556 px, pixel aspect Square, Frame aspect 512:389 (1,32).

And have dropped the 1080p in there. Now I have to scale it up.

My question is, should I just scale it to width and height, making it non-proportional?

Nice thing is that the OpenDCP seems to be DCI compliant, anyone have any knowledge to share about the OpenDCP?

thx !

Met vriendelijke groet/kind regards,

Marcel van Berk
