I had a RAID 1 dest= roy the directory on a good drive when I replaced a bad drive according to t= heir directions. It's own backup mechanism fails before backing up all the d= rives on it. It's also not Mac or Microsoft OS, causing some issues when you= try to use standard tools to access or service it (like Time Machine to bac= k it up). Not happy; strongly considering a Mac Mini or even an old laptop a= s a server with storage attached, rather than a standalone NAS. - Chris On Jul 2, 2012, at 11:08 AM, James WIlson wrote: > Hi, Does anyone use NAS drives with good results? > I was looking at a couple yesterday and wasn't sure if it's worth it just f= or backup and general asset storage, or maybe I should grab another G-RAID (= some flavor of). >=20 > Thanks, >=20 > Jim W. > +---End of message---+ > To unsubscribe send any message to
