| I use and really like my Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 6+ with the Macs in my house / home office. Have 9 TB of space using 2 TB drives and dual drive failure redundancy. Using for Time Machine backups and project archiving. It's connected through gigabit ethernet, so it's not as fast as an internal drive for working off of, but it's great for backups. Also has various media servers that stream to the TV in my living room for watching movies, etc. Can set it up to be an FTP or HTTP server as well.
With the enclosure, 6 drives, 2 spare drives, and dedicated UPS I put it on it I ended up spending about $1800 about a year ago, though I think the price has come down since. Significant cost, but I haven't had to worry about running out of space since I got it and like dual drive redundancy.

ps - If you go this route, don't get the Seagate ST2000DL003 drives, though. They have some funky firmware issues.

Hi, Does anyone use NAS drives with good results?
I was looking at a couple yesterday and wasn't sure if it's worth it just for backup and general asset storage, or maybe I should grab another G-RAID (some flavor of).
Thanks,
Jim W.
