| Solved! For anyone who might run into this in the future: The 6pin to 8pin adapter is totally unnecessary and was causing the problem. Just plugged the 6pin cable right into the 8pin socket leaving the two spots on the left empty, and voila! It all works just fine. How can I tell if the power cable is feeding the right wires to the right pins?
