Some effects (third-party effects) aren't behaving correctly with the new caching system. If you have a reproducible case with a specific effect, we want to know about it so that we can work with the maker of that plug-in to update the plug-in (or fix the bug on our side if that's where it is).

What's the effect, Jim. I have noticed this kind of behavior with certain effects, Sapphire lens flare, for instance, which doesn't update properly. Try changing a parameter on the effect in the pre comp and see if that forces the main comp to update.
