I had similar problems and complained to Adobe. This is what they sent me and it fixed my problems.

Hi Terry,
The fix is available at :
 
First , please deactivate the CS6 subscription by launching a CS6 product (for e.g Photoshop / Illustrator, etc)
 
Please download and run the exe on your machine after that.
Then Launch the CS6 product and  relicense by clicking on License This Software button.
 
After this even if you launch CS5 , no problem will occur.

Hey, I found a major downside to the cloud subscription. I launched AE CS6 a bit ago and a window popped up saying it was going to start a trial of my Adobe suite. My last payment went thru on 7/10. A "liveperson" tried but decided it's a technical problem and to call on Monday.

I guess this will be a weekend in the "AE Free" zone.

Anybody else ever get this?
