I can say that I am really happy with my Dell u2410. At 500.00, they offer billions of colors, rotation, and tons of connectivity options. I have three running on my Mac Pro all driven by the ATI (one running DVI and the other two running mini DP to DP). I have had one for about a year, and the other two for about 3 months.

I was told this was THE monitor for the price but again 1000.00

On that note, I do mostly PP and a lot of PS work.

Subject: [AE] [OT] Best 24" monitors?

So I know this question gets asked every month or so, but I just had an asus PA256Q Pro-Art monitor wake up with a huge "splotch" - a darkened yellowish patch in dead center of the monitor, along with some kind of "tear" in the panel behind the main screen (looks like an inch-long scratch but is beneath the actual surface of the panel). And no, I didn't scratch it or clean it with battery acid, etc. To Asus's credit I already have an RMA with free shipping set up, and I bought this monitor as a refurb on ebay for $350 (originally $600+) so they have really great customer service and honored the 3 year warranty. But after using the Pro-Art for several months I have to say it is just blown away by the Eizo CG222W I have in a side-by-side comparisons. I am highly suspect of their claims it is true 10-bit color. Of course the Eizo was 3x more expensive, but still. Anyway I'm looking for a new 24" panel and the RMA'd one will go on my non-mission-critical workstation. I have heard great things about Dell's and HP dreamcolor panels, but not really looking to spend over $1,000 if I can help it. Any ideas fellows?
