In the meantime, you can delete the disk cache files in the prefs
Media & disk cache>Empty Disk Cache

If this fixes the issue, then there's a temporary workaround, but we'd love to get to the bottom of this. The caching overhaul was a massive undertaking and there are still some cases where you can get a stale cached frame. Purging the cache almost always fixes it, but in this case, maybe you have to go one step farther.
