Looking for somebody that has extensive experience with multi-region languages in Ae. Running Ae CS 5.5 in Win7 64 Pro. The issues that I'm having are...
- After Effects substitutes the chosen font (say, Arial) when a double-byte font (such as simplified Chinese) is pasted into the text layer.
- If the pasted text is Japanese, it substitutes the font Kozuka Gothic Pr6N. No problemo. But if the pasted text is simplified Chinese, it substitutes for the same font (Kozuka). It's a Japanese font, so there are some glyphs that don't get represented or displayed.
- If the pasted text is Korean, the substitute font is Gulim (but any spaces remain Arial, just to confuse things).
Looking for the logic that Ae employs. What I'd like to do is control the substitution by either a) Denying font substitution altogether, or b) have the ability to choose which font I want Ae to use (how, I'm don't yet know).
I'm working in a highly-automated environment, so this isn't something that I can do manually.
Thoughts, anyone?
Alan
