hi Todd,
no It's not, but I'm importing a AEP with several comps to make my work
simpler.
when using the + sign, you can only choose 1 comp, when importing a AEP
through the menu you can select all the comps you want to render.

I just checked, and when I add an After Effects composition to the Adobe
Media Encoder CS6 encoding queue, the encoding preset used matches the last
encoding preset that I applied. Is that not happening for you?
