I can confirm this, using Win7 Ultimate
64 with the .1 update. Trying to work out a nice Particular flow,
with air dynamics, changing the "particles per second rate" from
full on to 0 and then sliding those 2 key frames around causes
issues with image cache.. see most of the same frames from before,
and then some pops here and there of the newer frames.
seems to happen a lot.. I have only worked a little bit in CS6
since signing up for Creative Cloud, but I swear I've probably
already Purged my image cache about 200 times on 1 small project
with Particular.

Working
on PC, win 7 pro, AE CS6 with the .1 update, I also had a similar
disk cache issue - I needed to purge disk cache for the scene to
update, otherwise it was replaying frames from a previous ram
render when I'd re-render a ram preview. Basically AE didn't seem
to realize the scene had changed and tried to pull old frames from
disk. this was in a project using the raytrace 3d renderer. Like
Jim said, this is a total workflow killer. I will also provide a
bug report

Now, I'm seeing it in Lion, on layers with no plug-ins
applied. Off to file a bug report.

more and more images in my main comps that didn't belong.
