I had seen this a little while ago and thought it was awesome. What's crazy is, someone could probably make this in a 3d program like C4D with actual physics simulation to make it work!  

Also, someone has created a similar mechanical monster over on Shapeways.com (3d printing company)

It's pulled by a string, but there's also an attachment you can have made on the same site to have a windmill propulsion system that adds on.
