The problem is related to the distance from camera but the visibility/ vanish settings don't make a difference. The problem also responds to the camera's zoom setting, ie. zooming in and out can make particles pop on or off, even though the camera position isn't changing. Any suggestions for something I've overlooked? Are the popping particles near the solid boundaries? Perhaps their center points are drifting outside the solid, so Particular is not rendering them. Maybe try resizing the solid, making it a bit larger than its containing comp (allowing the comp to crop the oversized layer).
