You sir, deserve a beer. That is the problem. Just to elaborate, the 'particles' are very tall panels / rectangles that= are mostly taller than the height of the solid, which is currently the = same size as the composition. So yes, as their centres are falling outsi= de of the solid boundaries they are not being rendered, even though the p= article itself should be visible. So yes - enlarging the solid to be bigger than the composition has solved= the problem. Cheers, thanks very much for the suggestion! -Chris -----Original Message----- From: Walter Soyka [mailto:walter@keenlive.com] Sent: Thursday, August 23, 2012 12:22 PM To: 'After Effects Mail List' Subject: Re: [AE] Particular particles popping off > > The problem is related to the distance from camera but the visibility/ > vanish settings don't make a difference. The problem also responds to = the > camera's zoom setting, ie. zooming in and out can make particles pop on= or > off, even though the camera position isn't changing. Any suggestions for something I've overlooked? Are the popping particles near the solid boundaries? Perhaps their center= points are drifting outside the solid, so Particular is not rendering the= m. Maybe try resizing the solid, making it a bit larger than its containing comp (allowing the comp to crop the oversized layer). * * *Walter Soyka *| Keen Live **
