Both the suggestion and the script are very close to what I want and solve a bunch of problems (like having the back page color or page turn width changes ripple through the project). My only issue now is that by key-framing the page turn, the instanced effect creates the transition on a new layer where it is in time on the original layer. I need these layers staggered in time so that's not going to work. Could anyone figure out an expression to change the fold position on the x-axis as a function of the layer's in point? I know there's an auto-fade opacity by layer in/out expression, maybe telling it to take 30 frames from layer in to travel 1000 units in X would work. Then I could instance that effect with the expression and maybe it would change the rest of them at the same time...? good luck -

P.= S. Our books, if you have them, tend to show examples of having one master = layer control multiple slave layers using expressions.
