I recently had an issue with not being able to save a = Final Cut Pro file on an external drive. I was eventually forced to drop = back to a auto saved file. I never really found the cause, but a complete OS reset of preferences = and cache clearing seems to have fixed the problem. I would also note, I was also finding directory errors cropping up after = about a week or so, which required running disk utility from an external = OS and I was seeing the blue screen of death on shut down.. I still running 10.6.8 and I have been switching booting a lot between = OSX and Win 7 64 on another internal HD. I have thought maybe the = frequent switching between Win 7 and OSX has been playing havoc with my = directory structures, but I'm not sure. I hope you are able to resolve your problem.
