We have that problem as w= ell saving FCP projects to an external projects drive that gets backed up fr= equently. Only FCP projects and we don't know why s= o we save as to the desktop and replace the project on the project drive. Frustrating... I wonder what that could be? Interesting to hear about t= he external drive issue. We have that problem as well saving FCP projects to= an external projects drive that gets backed up frequently. We all share fro= m this drive for projects but between about 3-5 pm you can't save FCP to tha= t drive. Only FCP projects and we don't know why so we save as to the deskto= p and replace the project on the project drive.

Fru= strating... I wonder what that could be?

I never really found the cause, but a com= plete OS reset of preferences and cache clearing seems to have fixed the pro= blem.

I would also note, I was also finding directo= ry errors cropping up after about a week or so, which required running disk u= tility from an external OS and I was seeing the blue screen of death on= shut down..

I still running 10.6.8 and I have been= switching booting a lot between OSX and Win 7 64 on another internal HD. &n= bsp;I have thought maybe the frequent switching between Win 7 and OSX has be= en playing havoc with my directory structures, but I'm not sure.

I hope you are able to resolve your problem.
