Hi Robert,

our layer placement iExpressions also have 2D and 3D Look At's.
In addition to looking at points, they also support looking at lines (i.e. you always look to the point of the line that is currently closest).

A good example for this is when you want in 3D to orient layers along a cylinder surface. While for spheres looking at the center point is good enough, for cylinders you need to look at the line forming the center axis of the cylinder.

Best,
Mathias

Hi

Right now i am stuck trying to write a seemingly simple expression.
I want a normal 2d null to "look at" another 2d null and can't figure out
what the expression should look like.
LookAt() seems like it is only for 3d layers? and my goto resource for
quick tips for expressions, Dan Ebberts motionscript.com doesn't have
anything on something this simple :-)
