the iPad decodes .mp4 natively so I suspect 1920 x 1080 mp4 is the way to go. You can get better file sizes and quality with VBR 2pass mp4 anyway. I'm happy to test out a sample video on mine, either through vimeo or a direct file if you want

Are there optimal iPad codecs and sizes, useable on all iPads? Some recommend 1280, others say 1920 is fine. Some say H264, others MP4. Is there any consensus? I don't have an iPad to test with so I'm in the dark. The piece is motion graphics and live action.
