I've got a GTX 680 in one box and a GTX 670 in my box. I got the 680 on the recommendation of Todd K.  When I built this new box, I had a set budget and got the 670 in order to get a little more ram. When the other artist leaves tonight, I'll swap out the cards and see what difference it makes.

12 core 2.3ghz

32GBs ram

CS 6 Production Premium running on SSD

EVGA GTX670 2GB ram  the other card is EVGA GTX 680 3GB ram.

My personal experience is that even with a Quadro 4000 for Mac, raytrace rendering in Ae is unusably slow.  YMMV.

I bought the card for Pr, where it kicks some serious ass.
