All of the sudden, working with an artist in, say, Brazil, is as easy as bringing in the freelancer from across town. But cost of living in Brazil isn't as much as, you know, San Francisco or whatever. I mean, it's a global economy and many companies are already doing this (I saw similar technology while at Sony Imageworks dating back years ago) and I like to think if I'm good at what I do there will always be a market for live in the flesh compositing and motion graphics, but I feel sorry for the students just getting into the industry.
