No, I'd be insane to attempt doing a proper commercial project that way.

This was just a bit of experimentation on my home machine.  I'd just bought CS6 and was playing around with the new features, I didn't know until I hit the render button that it would take 55 minutes a frame!

It's a very simple project, I'll bring it into work and see how the render times compare on a MacPro with a Quadro 4000.

you're insane. that would have probably taken less than an hour on a new
machine. and for under $1000 if you went pc. just saying...
