Hey Brian, I'm just discovering this thread a little late.=20
I've been doing a lot of research on this front and I'm leaning to the =
Asus P9X79 Deluxe as well. 3930K too. The extra two SATA ports would be =
quite useful on the Gigabyte, especially in my config, but overclocking =
the 3930K w/water is a goal of mine (Corsair H100).=20

Can your case handle a watercooling radiator? It is highly beneficial if =
it can.

BTW currenly only Z77 mobos are doing Thunderbolt onboard and they =
generally are targeted at mid-prices and gamers who don't need as much =
RAM or PCI-E lanes as video folks so I think X79 chipset is a better =
route.
