PSD file is imported as Comp retain layer size.
In text layers when I right clicked "convert to editable layer", the
styles became editable as well :-) as Angie suggested.
If I want to reimport a text layer that may have changed or another
added afterwards, I do not get editable Layer Style, just merge
& ignore.
Then I can reconvert it to editable text and layer styles get
separated again.
Once a text layer is converted to text it looses its dependency from
the original one in the project window, and cannot right click
reveal in project but just in flowchart..
Another drawback was getting PS group masks in AE.
I did save them as separate layers or files and imported as track
mattes.

didn't it used to be that PS layer styles could be imported as
editable AE layer styles?
Somehow I seem to get only merged or ignore options...
Same with PS text layers, they come in as bitmaps only not
editable text...
Am I missing something?

Info tab just shows percentages and positioning
info.
Solid setting dialogue gives original size.
