How do you mean? OpenEXR is supported by a ton of post-production tools and plenty of facilities have standardized on it in their pipelines.

What I like about Cinema DNG is it standardizes folder structures and file naming conventions. If I could find a link to the SDK and samples that actually works I'd take a look at it.
