I think Jim's suggestion solved the probelm. For all of you who have been waiting with bated breath for the resolution to this problem, I reinstalled DVDSPRO 4.2.2 on my laptop and all is well. First I deleted everything I could find that was related to the program, which wasn't very much the program and it's contents, the prefs and maybe something else. Reinstalling was a breeze, after I made sure the installer didn't want to take three hours adding themes, Motion Content, Audio loops and other gak. I feel like a kid who's been let out of detention and set free to go play.
Thanks, Jim.
Now to try the same thing on the Tower . . .

But, trashing everything in the apps, Library>Application Support, Receipts, and Preferences should do it. Shouldn't hurt and quickest way would be to just reinstall over the old, and see if your problem vanishes.
FWIW, I had a DVDSP issue once that even reinstalling wouldn't fix. It was an error on build. I tried everything with no luck. I ended up doing part two of a two disk series in Encore. Lucky I had it on hand. But, it forced me to make an identical menu in Encore using the Encore method of making menus, which is entirely different, and a bit more obtuse.
Sad thing is
Apple won't be fixing DVDSP at this point.

I've been testing like mad and there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for when it works and when it fails. I haven't changed my methodology and created several DVDs over the last few months with no issues. All of a sudden I have problems.
Thanks.
