Thanks for this.. I'll ask my client to
provide a non-HQ version to try this out with.
Can anyone, off hand, tell me what the diffs are between HQ and
non-HQ? we're using some 5k shots in this film, and I'm not sure
if non-HQ will handle their needs.
I'll also try the method of pre-transcoding the source footage to
something more stable.. I figured since I could read ProRes in AE,
and they included it as an option for source footage, That it was
stable enough to incorporate into the workflow.

I missed the
detail about it showing up in the final edit. If that's
true, this is something else.

Also this. I was gonna mention that.
But if they see the shift in fcp for final edit I
guess it does matter. They can't just gamma shift
it back?

when played in Quicktime, not when used in
