Indeed a cintiq for AE is a tad overkill unless one is rotoing all day long..

Does the new cintiq pen work on the (new)intuos as well?
I remember the first version did and was really handy for switching between the two if available sidebyside.
Angie have you played around with Artrage, its pencils have a real nice feel.

I'd go for the Intuous range every time. As Andrew said, the surface texture is amazing and you can switch nibs for more resistance which helps both with accuracy of drawing and it actually makes me feel as if I am drawing with a real pencil on paper.

Photoshop is my favourite for paint brushes now (used to be a big Painter fan) but the best in terms of drawing is Sketchbook Pro - it's pencil tool is second to none.

Hope this helps,

Angie
