Hence the need for a more user-friendly, user-centered Output Module. What are the chances of forgetting to switch on the audio output checkbox with a UI laid out such as this -

Subject: Re: [AE] a question from the After Effects team about audio output
This seems like a reasonable compromise.
While multiple output modules can help solve the "gotcha" problem, I
inevitably lose my output modules during beta cycles. The fewer presets
I have to remake the better, and simpler behavior is better for new
users too.

So, if AE treated an output module with the audio checkbox ON as meaning
“output audio if the comp has audio” instead of the current “output
audio even if the comp doesn’t have audio”, would that cause trouble for
anyone? Presumably that change would fix the above problems, if we also
defaulted the audio checkbox ON in the shipping presets.
