OK, rotobrush is pretty amazing, once I turned on the refine matte / motion blur settings, I couldn't believe how well it worked. With the tablet I'm going about 5x faster than pushing splines. Adjusting levels first so there was more contrast helped a lot with the rotobrush auto-detect as well. Thanks guys,

Yeah, I had similar shots on a zero budget indie a friend did a couple of years ago – except most of them were not locked off and several handheld. Actors in dark clothes in night shots. Roto is pretty much it – wish per vertex feather was available then – it is your friend for motion blur on rapid movement.
