I'm assuming you made it to the conclusion "Allaying Concerns"? Seems like short-term it may not be an issue, but it may be an issue long-term.

As an Apple shareholder, I can't complain about their move into the consumer space. As a Mac user, I hope they give me plenty of time to ease into a new environment.

More evidence that the Mac as a personal computer is probably going away, sooner or later.  If I were a betting man, I think the chance of any significant new Mac Pros or development of Apple workstations is getting near zero. It’s looking more like just a question of when all of us on this list will be using Windows – and if Microsoft continues to mimic maybe it will be Linux.

FCPX might end up as iOS app running on a multi-core ARM or custom Apple CPU.

While smartphones and tablets are cool and such – I wonder if Apple will live to regret abandoning the power user as every move they’ve made in the last few years seems to point to.

Be curious to know what Adobe’s internal thoughts of the future of the pro Mac desktop are.

A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.
