I won't be surprised if Apple switches to ARM in a few years from now, considering how fast ARM processors are today. Today's iPhone 5 almost has a Geekbench score of the Macbooks around 2007-08. If ARM processors evolve at this rate within a few years they'll be fast enough to replace lower and mid-range intel processors.

I'm sure Adobe has enough leverage against both Apple and Microsoft to make sure their products are well supported. Well, atleast for the near future. But to control the whole experience they could make their own distro. But its a lot of work to maintain their own 'OS' of any kind and I'm not sure if it is financially feasible for them.

I would love to see Adobe get on Linux. With Windows 8 it looks like Microsoft might be following Apple down the everything-mobile rabbit hole. With Linux, you don't have to worry about the whims of Apple of Microsoft. Adobe could even make their own distribution if necessary.
