If you use the type tool in AE, convert the type to a shape layer, apply trim paths to the shape, apply as a matte to your original type layer. You have a pretty passable write on effect done in about 30 seconds of work. Pretty good if you're on a tight deadline to create something like that. Works best with handwritten style fonts. --=20 tony romain | principal/creative director trance motion graphic animation and design 323 651 1114 www.trancedesigns.com From: Mike Abbott Reply-To: AE list Date: Tuesday, November 6, 2012 3:41 PM To: AE list Subject: Re: [AE] OT: Apple contemplating switching from Intel CPUs Subject: Re: [AE] OT: Apple contemplating switching from Intel CPUs I agree with this=8A I'm of the mind that we eventually will move to more of = a dummy terminal model with all processing done remotely=8A focus your local hardware on display and network I/O speed. media storage and processing i= s done at a remote facility =20 =20 And when that processing power is inevitably consolidated... that's one scary big brother as far as I'm concerned.... =20 Mike A. --B_3435061967_1822820 Content-type: text/html; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable

I agree with this… I'm of the mind that we eventually wil= l move to more of a dummy terminal model with all processing done remotely…  focus= your local hardware on display and network I/O speed.   media storage and process= ing is done at a remote facility

And when that processing p= ower is inevitably consolidated... that's one scary big brother as far as I'm concerned....
