Thought I'd post an interesting project that I completed recently. You can find it here on my company FB page: https://www.facebook.com/LoopCorp The video breakdown on the VW OneFilm link has some explanation but it is aimed at clients so doesn't go into technicalities a lot - suffice to say it was a classic Mocha job. It was envisioned as a full 3d job by my client and they were sceptical of my assertion that Mocha was a better solution. I managed to talk them around with some tests and I'm really glad I did. Not only was it much less of a burden to the render house, but VW also came back with understandable worries that the initially erratic camera moves could be construed as being caused by the car! So the whole project ended up being stabilised more and, of course, re-tracked. It was painful enough getting it done in the time with planar tracking, 3d tracking would have been a nightmare. The one sequence that was a worry to me was the aeroplane sequence as that needed new text placed on the trailing banner. Eventually I went with a less well reported AE plug-in which is ReMap UV and that really saved the day as I didn't want one 3d sequence to break the clean AE pipeline we'd established. Most of the "non-live" post work was by Framestore (edit, grade etc and the huge cleanup job on the "art gallery" sequence featured) and we had some 11th hour crunch help by the talented people at Peanut fx --- Cheers Rich www.loopcorp.com www.facebook.com/LoopCorp --f46d04479f0ba7e0fa04ce4d8f1d Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi all
