| Could be. Your numbers will vary. OTOH, for a person not willing to spend the TIME (which for most people is billable) putting together a bunch of white boxes, one at least knows it will work, and that you're going to be getting a lot of that money back afterwards. Whatever you think of Apple (and I have numerous bones to pick), it's very easy to set them up and keep them running, and they have high residual value. How much would I be paying a sysadmin to keep a bunch of white boxes running? Probably $75K/year. That's a lot of money to me.
